BT challenges customers to do something for the environment with paper-free billing campaignThe red carpet was out at Camden’s legendary Roundhouse for the 2007 Digital Music Awards.
Hosted by Channel 4’s Alex Zane and Sara Cox, the event featured stellar performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Mutya Buena, The Hoosiers, Newton Faulkner, Amy McDonald and The Rakes.
Muse were awarded Best Rock Artist, Lemar won Best Urban Act, Chemical Brothers won Best Electronic Artist, while Funeral For A Friend beat Razorlight, Bloc Party and Rihanna to scoop Artist of the Year.
Also, Keane won Best Official Website and Natasha Bedingfield, who performed her new song ‘Say It Again’ beat Mika and Simon Webbe to scoop Best Pop Artist.

While the Awards ceremony celebrated the best in digital music and innovation, the after-party saw stars of music, television and corporate pioneers partying till the early hours, naturally led by BT’s and Crayon’s project leaders.
BT Group Consumer Managing Director Gavin Patterson said “Digital is at the very heart of the music business today and more than ever a core part of our lives. There are now more and more ways for fans to access and discover exciting new music and digital has enabled music buyers to get even closer to their favourite acts”.
Business Director Wempy Dyocta Koto adds that “over 90% of today’s singles sales in the U.K are in digital format. BT is committed to being at the forefront of digital experiences and Crayon is proud to be a partner in driving this transformation”.
