We need an experienced Community Manager to manage all of our Global social platforms and to build up a great base of online and offline contacts.

JOB DESCRIPTION                            Community Manager

Job Purpose

We now live in a world where organisations have had to surrender their brands to the world of communities, particularly in the world of digital media.  We are looking for a community manager who can successfully manage a brand’s global presence on key digital communities, consequently playing a vital part of a brand’s success.

 

Principal Accountabilities      

  • Management of all the brand’s digital platforms/communities including social, web and email engagement, on going updating and management of best practice guidelines and staying up to date about legislation for alcohol brands socially and monitoring of local market activity (English speaking)
  • Actively seeking out new and relevant content for use on all digital communities consequently growing, driving and maintaining engagement across all platforms
  • Monitoring and reporting of insight for all global digital platforms including Google analytics, Facebook, twitter and social media monitoring platforms. Sharing these insights on global and market level and making insightful, realistic and human recommendations
  • Profiling and engaging English speaking influential bloggers, facilitating and arranging meetings/tastings with the brand’s Global Ambassador locally and internationally
  • Working with the brand’s Global Ambassador to identify suitable content, opportunities and writing copy for the blog. Building relationships between the global Brand Ambassador and influential online personalities.
  • Moderation of user generated content across all platforms for which we have editorial control and for local market activity, offering support and best practice recommendations
  • Provision of advice for how local markets might create online buzz around campaigns and promotions
  • Management of the brand Community Manager group around the world in local markets and facilitation of status meetings and continuous discussions with all involved

 

Job Skills Required

Knowledge                        

A highly proactive and organised person with a curious mind, an eagerness for building knowledge and being a thought leader about the brand, product and the category as a whole

Copy and Tone                 

A comprehensive grasp of the English language with a skill for copy writing and identifying the right tone for bringing the brand to life for consumers

Consumer focused         

Become immersed in the world of the consumer to uncover relevant insights and make recommendations based on these key insights

Digital passion                 

Detailed understanding of, and passion for, digital media and innovations in this space

Analysis                              

Ability to analyse and assess communications, present findings and recommendations

Technology                       

Whilst we have a broad range of technology support at the agency, a competent knowledge of what is and isn’t technically possible is needed to ensure ideas are feasible

 

The Candidate                 

2-4 year’s experience in a Community Manager position or similar.  A ‘can do attitude’ and a real interest in the digital world and the alcohol industry.  A great team worker who can contribute to a fun and dynamic environment
