Aim for the top

At BT we're all really excited about sponsoring the Mount Kilimanjaro climb – and we're determined to raise £300,000.

This challenging expedition to the top of the 19,330ft mountain will set off on 26th February and it will take Celebs 8 days to complete the climb. The BBC has kindly commissioned a documentary of the attempt, which will be shown on BBC One during the week leading up to Red Nose Day on 13th March 2009.

Best foot forward

All the money raised will go straight to Comic Relief and the projects they support in the UK and Africa.

Donations could help pay for treatment and prevention of diseases like malaria or provide mental health support, education, maternal health programmes and many other essential projects throughout the UK and Africa.

Michele Settle, Marketing Director, Comic Relief said: "BT has helped people donate over the phone since we began, making it a vital part of the Comic Relief family. That's why we're so thrilled BT have chosen to extend their support to the BT Red Nose Climb – it is set to be a fantastic fundraising campaign so watch this space."
